Der Zugang zu (sauberer) Energie als Voraussetzung für nachhaltiges Wachstum

International climate protection efforts are progressing at different paces. This is particularly true when it comes to access to clean energy, which is a fundamental prerequisite for sustainable growth. The global starting conditions in this regard are extremely diverse: while industrialized countries are increasingly converting their energy supply to renewable sources, less developed regions of the world are still struggling to ensure universal access to (clean) energy in the first place. The United Nations' Agenda 2030 and especially its Sustainable Development Goal 7 addresses this conflict between climate protection and energy justice in order to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. This article describes content and scope of SDG 7 and shows the actual progress already made to reach this goal.
